Besides the Teaching for Change website, here are a list of resources I received and shared with my districts:
This is a work in progress, but because of the recent earthquake in Haiti things have moved forward faster than anticipated. What a teacher can find at this site are free lessons along with teacher guides connected to Haiti . These lessons are ready to go right now and could be used in classrooms today.

Helping Haiti from the Classroom
In light of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti last week, NPCA is working to connect the greater Peace Corps community to information and resources regarding relief efforts. Click here <http://peacecorpsconnect.org/node/13354> to view a synopsis of these efforts and to find ways to contribute.
Additionally, we want to share some educational resources that will help to bring this topic into the classroom. Here are some links that provide materials for teaching about the people and culture of Haiti as well as natural disasters and their impact:

Teaching for Change has posted a free downloadable version of Teaching About
Haiti and a list of recommended resources for K-12 at this link:
http://www.teachingforchange.org/publications/haiti
We welcome recommendations of additional resources to add to the page that
challenge the deficit perspective so prevalent in the media, textbooks and
mainstream teaching guides.
