Appalachian State University, one of the top public institutions in the 
South, is seeking a Coordinator of Student Conduct to work with the 
Conduct and Integrity program. Nestled in the mountains of northwestern 
North Carolina, Appalachian enrolls over 16,000 students, 5,000 of whom 
live on campus.

 The Office of Student Conduct is a department in the Division of 
Student Development with primary responsibility for educating students 
and faculty about issues related to student conduct and academic 
integrity, along with serving as the primary office for supervising the 
adjudication of student conduct related issues. This position is an 
integral member of the leadership team of the office and reports to the 
Director of Student Conduct. 

 The Coordinator will have responsibility for implementation of 
educational programming and outreach, adjudication of conduct cases, 
advising of the Student Conduct Board, counseling students on conduct 
related issues, and assisting the office in implementation of its 
assessment plan.  The Office of Student Conduct works collaboratively 
with various departments throughout the university with significant 
contact with the Office of Housing and Residence Life, Off-Campus 
Community Relations, Greek Life and Appalachian State University Police.

*Qualifications:*  Candidates must have a minimum of two years of 
student conduct related experience at a post secondary institution and a 
master's degree in Student Development, Higher Education, Counseling or 
a related area.  A candidate must have an understanding of student 
development and counseling theories and the ability to apply theory to 
practice in a university setting. Candidates must be able to demonstrate 
experience in working collaboratively with other units within the 
institution and the community, and have experience with the development 
and implementation of outreach programs. Candidates must be 
detail-oriented and computer proficient.
