*Telebriefing Invitation: Working for an Equitable Economic Recovery *

*National Teleconference*
*Wednesday, September 30, 2009*
*1:30-3:00 PM Eastern*

The current economic crisis has highlighted once again our
interconnectedness as a nation and as a people—the fact that we’re all in
this together seeking economic security and opportunity. Economic recovery
policies offer a chance to ensure that our most vulnerable and historically
overlooked groups and communities are included in any recovery plans. The
Opportunity Agenda has created a series of tools for advocates and
policymakers to use as they advocate for equal opportunity in the economic
recovery process. Join us for an in-depth discussion.

The call will cover the following:

   - civil rights laws that affect the distribution of economic recovery
   funds;
   - framing and messaging recommendations around economic recovery;
   - ways to measure the impact of stimulus spending; and
   - specific examples of how advocates are working to ensure a fair
   recovery.

 *Speakers:* Alan Jenkins and Juhu Thukral from The Opportunity Agenda,
Chris Keeley from Common Cause/New York, Maya Wiley from The Center for
Social Inclusion, Jason Reece from the Kirwan Institute for the Study of
Race and Ethnicity, and Yvonne Liu from the Applied Research Center.

To receive call-in information, *please RSVP* at
partners at opportunityagenda.org by September 25.

Thank you,

The Opportunity Agenda
