(NAME-MCE) Fulbright Thai Hosting Opportunity

          The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program is currently seeking U.S.
educators to host educators (teachers and administrators) from Thailand for
12 days in April 2009. This Fulbright program with Thailand involves up to
ten Thai school administrators and teachers who are either department heads
of English or math, school principals, or assistant principals.

The focus of this exchange is to enable Thai and U.S. teachers and
administrators to have direct interactions and exchange of educational
knowledge and experiences. The program hopes to help the Thai educators to
strengthen their local school systems through direct observation of U.S.
classes and administration, school relations with the community, curriculum
development, active learning, classroom management, technology in the
classroom, parental involvement, volunteerism and civic responsibility. The
visit of a group of Thai educators can also be a valuable opportunity for
U.S. schools to gain in-depth information about educational systems in
Southeast Asia.

*THAI HOSTING Application Deadline - March 13, 2009
**Fulbright prefers schools/school districts that can host two (or even
three) teachers or administrators at once.*
