The Office of Minority Health releases $3.5 Million for Youth
Empowerment Programs

Some $3.5 million is available to support competitive cooperative
agreements for youth empowerment programs. Institutions of higher
education, community colleges and Tribal colleges may apply for
projects that support positive lifestyles and healthier life choices
among youth aged 10-18. Deadline: September 3, 2009.

Anticipated Number of Awards:  10 - 12
Range of Awards: $275,000 to $300,000 per year
Anticipated Start Date:  September 1, 2009
Period of Performance:  3 Years (September 1, 2009 - August 31, 2012)
Budget Period Length:  12 months
Type of Award:  Cooperative Agreement
