The Texas State Board of Education considers changes to Texas curriculum standards, voicing conflicting attitudes regarding the inclusion of important Hispanic historical figures in social studies instruction.
According to the August 17 article, "...some members worry that traditional American values and historical perspective will be de-emphasized to promote multiculturalism."
