You are cordially invited attend an exciting binational conference to be
held at the University of California's Casa de California, in the elegant
and historic Coyoacán neighborhood of Mexico City, Mexico on July 2 and 3,
2009.

This meeting will bring together our two nations' leading PreK-12 education
and migration researchers and policymakers. It will provide a rare
opportunity to share current research from both countries, and to explore
future lines of interchange and collaboration in service to the children our
countries share. In addition to thematic panels and keynote addresses from
leaders in the field, there will be ample opportunities for cross-national
networking and collaboration through participation in conference working
groups and social activities.

* Note on the Swine Flu Outbreak *
We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to all the victims and those
impacted by the outbreak of the Swine Flu in Mexico. At this juncture we do
not anticipate this crisis necessitating the postponement or changing of
venue for "The Students We Share" binational conference. We will, however,
be closely monitoring events in Mexico as they unfold. Should the situation
worsen and require a change in the date or venue for our event, we will have
this information available on our website immediately.
