Dr. Blumenfeld poses a very thought-provoking question. One thing that I truly admire about President Obama that is a change from the past is that the Obama family also celebrated a Passover seder at the White House. While my understanding is that there have been other seders, the Obamas are the first family to actually participate. It must have been very poignant that evening to read the Passover story which states, "Once we were slaves and now we are free!"

While I consider the same question about the ecumenical thoughts about the Easter egg roll at the White House, or for that matter, the Christmas decorations at the local malls, I am pleased to see that President Obama seems to be equalizing other cultural celebrations!
