A National Conference of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer
(LGBTQ) Asian Americans, South Asians and Pacific Islanders (API)

The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) will host a
national conference for and about LGBTQ Asians and Pacific Islanders.
Convening community organizations and members throughout the country, the
conference themed “Transgress, Transform, Transcend” will take place from
August 14 to August 16, 2009, at the University of Washington in Seattle,
WA. The Pacific Northwest Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (PNWQAPIA),
a coalition of organizations and volunteers based in Seattle, are
collaborating with NQAPIA to coordinate the national conference.
