The film received the Emmy at the 29th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards <http://madeinla.com/list/lt.php?id=eUtQAlUCW1gdDFEdVlIKBg%3D%3D>  in the category of Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story–Long Form at a ceremony Monday night in New York City. 

This film started as a small, grassroots project more than six years ago and this is very, very exciting news for everyone who has been involved along the way. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for being part of the Made in L.A. community. Many of you were the very first people to believe in Made in L.A. when the film was nothing more than a 10-minute trailer, and we are grateful for your incredible support and encouragement over the past six years! We’ve recently launched a Host A Screening <http://madeinla.com/list/lt.php?id=eUtQAlUDUlMdDFEdVlIKBg%3D%3D>  initiative that enables grassroots groups, nonprofits, student groups, unions, and faith-based organizations to hold their own screenings of Made in L.A. in order to engage their communities around local issues. We’ve also recently launched a revised Learn More <http://madeinla.com/list/lt.php?id=eUtQAlUDUlIdDFEdVlIKBg%3D%3D>  page and have numerous events <http://madeinla.com/list/lt.php?id=eUtQAlUDUlUdDFEdVlIKBg%3D%3D>  coming up around the country!
