Midwest Educators of Color Association (MECA)
MECA is committed to providing supportive services for current educators and
those who are interested in serving students at institutions of learning
located throughout the Midwestern region of the United States- so that all
learners may achieve at high levels.
MECA is the first organization of its kind to centralize resources that are
mutually beneficial to diverse educators and sensitive employers who are
seeking to engage and retain their services. Our offerings of professional
development, trade resources, and employment connections, along with MECA's
foundational structure make us the premiere association to become affiliated
with.
Vision: To become the preferred clearinghouse for educators of color and
their employees across the nation.
Purpose: To provide focused services for educators of color and
institutions of learning located throughout the Midwestern region of the
United States so that all learners may achieve at high levels.
Core Values:
Integrity– Always aligning our actions with our values and purpose.
Excellence– Continually improving on our provision of accurate, timely, and
supportive services to MECA educators and employers.
