on your local PBS stations in early October. The educational edition

and performances. The DVD information is on the website listed below.
Description of Film:
With Obama as the most influential and famous mixed-race and multicultural
person, a year after Michael Richard's 'N'-word on-stage rant, and with Rush
Limbough, Don Imus and Rosie O'Donnell and Senators Biden and McCain making
culturally insensitive faux-pas, the ultimate question is: where is the
line, and who can cross it?
>From Emmy-Award winning, multiracial Comedian/Producer/Director Teja
Arboleda, and the research of Dr. Darby LiPo Price comes this fascinating
discovery of comedy and humor, from the perspective of multiracial
comedians. This full length documentary analyzes how mixed race comedians
mediate racial identity and humor. Exploring these issues exposes the very
nature of where pain and laughter come from in a racially divided world.
The documentary features the experiences, perspectives, and performances of
American comedians of more than one racial ancestry; Internationally
acclaimed performer Rain Pryor, (daughter of Richard Pryor) plays an
important role in this film, offering personal perspectives on these unique
challenges; Dr. Randall Kennedy, Harvard Law School professor, and author of
"Nigger"; a prominent NYC comedy club owner; a psychotherapist specializing
in multiraciality; NBC Universal's Director of Diversity, and others
contribute with their thoughts on where the line is, or whether it exists.
Some powerful footage in this film include the 'N-word' burial ceremony in
Detroit during the summer of 2007.
