Loyola University Chicago invites applications to the following
opening:
Counseling Psychology: - The School of Education, Loyola University
Chicago, announces a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate
professor level with primary teaching, research and service
responsibilities in counseling psychology. The NCATE accredited School
of Education’s conceptual framework of professionalism in service of
social justice drives the training of educational professionals at the
baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels (Ed.D. and Ph.D.). The
APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology and the master’s
programs in Community Counseling and School Counseling train students in
diverse settings throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, one of the
nation’s liveliest educational scenes.
The selected individual will conduct research, teach graduate courses,
supervise dissertations, and demonstrate a commitment to serving a
diverse student body.
Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an
APA-accredited program and will have a program of research and
experience teaching courses in one or more of the following areas:
multicultural counseling, career development/counseling, ethics and
professional issues in counseling psychology, and school-based
interventions. Applicant will also demonstrate a commitment to the
School’s conceptual framework, preparing professionals in service of
social justice.
