CES Ask-a-Mentor: Growing Schools
Now that you started a new, small school, how do you cope with the
schools inevitable growing pains? The "Growing Schools" Ask-A-Mentor
panel is happening now through Saturday, October 11th. People are
invited to ask questions and share thoughts on how to create and sustain
high quality and equitable small schools. This panel is open to any and
all questions and is designed to not necessarily address one specific
issue, but rather open up the discussion of the creation of equitable
schools to allow for collaboration and sharing amongst all Coalition of
Essential School members.
The panel is live and is hosted by staff and students from three new CES
small high schools: ARISE High School in Oakland (CA), METRO High School
in Columbus (OH), and the James Baldwin School in New York City (NY). In
addition to the Ask-a-Mentor panel, there will be an ongoing, online
conversation on growing new schools in the "Forum" section under the
"Exchange" tab on ChangeLab.
