NSF Grant Funded Research Position Announcement:
Florida Community College at Jacksonville has been awarded a $1.5 million National Science Foundation grant to provide after-school technology experiences to 9th grade girls. I am the Principal Investigator for the project , which includes an important research component. We are partnering with Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Seminole Community College and it is anticipated that the project will be funded for at least 3 years.
Below is the job description for a Program Manager position, which will be responsible for managing the grant. The salary is a flat $48,240, as that is what is available in the grant. I think it would be ideal for a doctoral student. The project team will be trained in the ESTEEM and TechBridge curricula, which have been tested in NSF projects in the past, and modifying them for our purposes. We have an excellent team that works well together. So while the ideal candidate should have some technology skills, they do not need to be an expert, as we have 3 Co-Principal Investigators who are the technology experts.
If you can think of any good candidates for the position, please share this information with them and ask them to contact me for more details. To apply, they should go to www.fccj.edu <https://owa.fccj.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.fccj.edu> , click on Job Applicants in the left panel, Search/Apply for Positions, and follow the prompts from there.
