Call for Chapter Proposals for an Edited Collection

APPLIED PEACE PHILOSOPHY: THEORY IN ACTION

Editors

Dr. Ravindra Kumar, World Peace Movement Trust, India

Dr. Candice C. Carter, University of North Florida, USA

Invited are chapter proposals, or complete drafts, for an edited  
collection that presents cases of enacted peace philosophy. Requested  
for inclusion are applications within the last decade of philosophies  
that supported peace development. Topics of the proposals may include  
descriptions of Eastern and Western concepts of peace.

Chapter contents will include:

•  Explanation of the philosophy and its concepts

•  Description of the context’s location and society

•  Multiple-perspective presentation of a conflict

•  Presentation of philosophical application

•  Analysis of the conflict transformation or resolution

•  Suggestions for future applications of the concepts

Along with a 100-word bio, please submit by July 1, 2008 a chapter  
summary of 500-750 words, or a chapter draft of 5000-6000 words to  
both of the editors:

After the compilation of suitable chapters, a publisher for the  
collection will be identified. The completed chapters will be due for  
submission by December 1, 2008.
