Executive Director of Admissions & Recruitment



RESPONSIBILITIES



















UNLV is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Executive Director of  
Admissions and Recruitment. Reporting to the Associate Vice President  
of Enrollment and Student Services and supervising the director of  
undergraduate recruitment and the director of the transfer center,  
this individual will play a key role in developing UNLV’s admissions  
and recruitment strategy to recruit and admit an undergraduate student  
body consistent with the University’s mission and goals.



The new Executive Director will be a highly visible and integral  
member of the community and an effective spokesperson for UNLV. This  
position will collaborate with the registrar, the director of  
financial aid and scholarships, the dean of the honors college,  
college deans, and other stakeholders toward achieving the  
University’s enrollment goals. The successful candidate will supervise  
the assessment of recruitment programs and will use admissions and  
enrollment data to develop strategic enrollment management initiatives  
that meet immediate and long-range enrollment objectives.





QUALIFICATIONS

















The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in higher  
education administration or related field and have at least five years  
of progressively responsible experience in recruitment and admissions.  
The candidate will demonstrate success in recruitment and enrollment  
management leadership, preferably in a large university setting with a  
diverse student population. The candidate will have outstanding  
communications skills, knowledge of strategic enrollment management  
practices and a thorough understanding of the strategic uses of  
information technology in admissions and recruitment. The candidate  
will have an understanding of high school and transfer student markets  
and will have demonstrated success recruiting in-state, out-of-state,  
international and high-ability students as well as students from   
racial/ethnic communities which have been traditionally  
underrepresented.
