This email includes the agenda and logistical information about the
upcoming conference of the Achievement Gap Initiative at Harvard.  You may
recall from our last notice that the conference is entitled, *"Raising
Achievement and Closing Gaps in Whole School Systems: Recent Advances
in Research and Practice."*   The conference  will focus on raising
achievement levels and narrowing gaps *in whole districts. *

The location will be on the campus of the Harvard Graduate School of
Education, in Askwith Lecture Hall on June 16th and 17th, 2008.    The
conference will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 16th and end at 5 p.m. on
Tuesday, June 17.

*Please make your hotel reservation as soon as possible *at the Doubletree
Guest Suites Hotel (1-617-783-0090).  The *special rate of $215 per night
expires on May 24.*   After that, rooms at the same hotel may be available,
but the rate will be higher.
