Please excuse cross- and multiple postings of this announcement!

In 2 weeks, an exciting conference is taking place in Omaha of the Pedagogy and Theatre of the
Oppressed (PTO) that will include what we believe to be Augusto Boal's last training visit to the
United States. We have many great workshops on critical pedagogy and critical/activist theatre
works and a few that blend the ideas. There will be a panel that reflects on the life and work of
Paulo Freire on Saturday evening. It may be late notice for many readers but we encourage you too
have a look at our website and join our forum for updates for next year's conference. Change is in
the wind as we are considering moving our base from Omaha to Minneapolis and change some of our
structure to reflect those changes!

For details on the schedule and about the work of this organiztion and how it may align with the
work that you do related to NAME, go to: http://www.ptoweb.org Conference dates are May 23-25,
Magnolia Hotel (Thursday, 5/22 session at the City Hall Chambers for Boal's Legislative Theatre),
in downtown Omaha.

Welcome to PTO fellow NAME members!
