Dear NAME friends,
A song about racial reconciliation with the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people of Australia, based on the "Sorry" speech delivered by our Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, has become the fourth-biggest-selling recording in Australia, even though it is available only as a download from the Web.
Here are some stunning facts: the song is the highest new entry this week, #2 on the Australian Chart and #2 on the Digital Track Chart (one below Madonna). Our message of reconciliation has quite literally reached an audience of millions - an unbelievable result, worthy of reflection on what equity minded people can achieve together.
GetUp have now released the full video that accompanies the song. (Oh, and you'll be able to see my friend Jane singing! She's wearing the black sleeveless top and sings the "justice" piece). You can watch it via the link below for free. You can also purchase the song (for only AUS$1.69) from the GetUp website.

(GetUp is an independent, not-for-profit community campaigning group. They use new technology to empower Australians to have their say on important national issues. They receive no political party or government funding, and every campaign we run is entirely supported by voluntary donations).
I do hope you'll enjoy celebrating this fabulous achievement for equity and reconciliation in Australia with me!
Warm regards,
wendy
