A message on behalf on Monica Dixon, Director of Diversity & Inclusion

In recognition of "Women's History Month", The Office of Diversity &
Inclusion at Hershey Entertainment & Resort Company extends an
invitation to you and guests to attend a special presentation by Alina
Fernandez, the daughter of Cuban President Fidel Castro on Monday, March
24, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM in the Aztec Room at the HERSHEY
LODGE.

Fernandez will share with us her experience of growing up as the child
of one of the world's most infamous leaders and the events that
eventually led her to renounce his reign. Fernandez was a child in the
years just before and immediately following the revolution of 1959. As
the revolution's events unfolded, Fernandez came to realize that,
depending on his mood, Castro treated his illegitimate daughter with one
of two extreme feelings -- utter adoration or painful neglect. Through
the years; however, Castro's influence as an authority figure in
Fernandez' life never diminished. As she grew older, she recognized her
position as one of Cuba's elite -- but the political practices she
witnessed under her father's regime and the neglect she experienced
drove her to renounce that position and, ultimately, her relationship
with her father. As a result, Fernandez finally was forced to leave her
homeland and to seek refuge in the United States.

In 1998 St. Martin's Press published her story, Castro's Daughter: An
Exile's Memoir of Cuba, and there may soon be a major motion picture
made on Alina's life.

We hope that you are able to join us in the celebration of Women's
History Month. The extraordinary story of Fernandez's experiences
growing up under the shadow of Fidel Castro will be one with strength,
emotion and courage! If interested in attending, please RSVP to Tamara
Parker, Diversity Administrative Coordinator at trparker at hersheypa.com
and/or (717)508-1582, no later than Friday, March 7, 2008.

Please note: Lunch will not be provided for this event.
