(NAME-MCE) celebrating diversity

The phrase/intent behind "celebrating diversity" itself is problematic. It 
smacks of a tourist approach and exoticizing difference rather than, say, 
addressing or reflecting diversity - and respecting that there are 
differences and it behooves educators to understand them.
