POSITION TITLE
Director of Learning Support
RESPONSIBILITIES
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, seeks a highly motivated,
creative professional for the position of Director of Learning
Support. The newly established position will report to the Dean for
Academic Success and will be responsible for developing, planning and
implementing learning experiences for undergraduate students at UNLV
in response to needs for academic growth and intervention. Major
responsibilities include collaborating with a range of colleges,
departments, faculty and staff across the university campus to create
progressive opportunities, proactive systems and interventions in
collaboration with faculty and, particularly Alternative Admission
students. Developing a centralized, systemic approach to
disseminating and delivering support functions would be the primary
responsibility of the Director of Learning Support.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful applicant will possess a master’s degree with a
doctoral degree preference. Familiarity and significant experience
(3-5 years) working within higher education and related academic
initiatives is required. . Experience working with a diverse
population of students and collaborating with academic and student
support units is required. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills required. Excellent oral/written communication and
interpersonal skills are necessary. Experience with teaching, learning
technology, and faculty development is preferred. Excellent
interpersonal skills and both written and oral communication skills
are required.
SALARY RANGE
Salary Competitive; contingent upon labor market. Position is
contingent upon funding.

UNLV is a doctoral-degree-granting institution with more than 28,000

undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees are offered. Founded in
