Dear NAME community:

A colleague and I are looking for a self-assessment tool/survey that could be used to measure whether a teacher candidate demonstrates appropriate diversity/multicultural knowledge, skills and understanding.

We plan to use this survey with students from both the US and Namibia, before and after they learn and teach together in a virtual environment. In both countries, the students are all in-service teachers. We are hoping that in addition to specific acquisition of knowledge about each others' country, culture, and educational systems, etc. our students also gain a better general understanding of what it is like to collaborate on an instructional product with peers from a very different background, for learners from a very different background. What we would like is an instrument that gets at these general skills, understanding and knowledge.

If you happen to know of any (validated) surveys that we could use, we would greatly appreciate obtaining more information.

Thank you.
Heejung
