(NAME-MCE) Carlin on racism

I saw Carlin's piece on racism and also enjoyed it. But when I sent it to a
friend who is gay, he was impacted by Carlin's reference to "faggoty
polkas." As a privileged heterosexual, I had barely noticed the homophobia
and had not reacted to it. So if you use it, it would be important to
address the fact that he uses that word rather than just let it stand,
unacknowledged and reinforced. Among the points that can be made are how we
can uphold one oppression as we intend to challenge another, and why using
that word seems so unremarkable.
