You are right, King's message and legacy if for all of us.

Thanks to everyone for all of the great discussion and King quotes.

This week, Obama used one of my favorite King quotes, "Unity is the great
need of the hour," when he spoke, in Atlanta, at King's church Ebenezer
Baptist Church. The quote is from the speech King gave at Holt Street Baptist
Church in Montgomery, Ala. on December 5, 1955, the night before the start of the
bus boycott.

In the same speech King went on to say "We, the disinherited of this land,
we who have been oppressed so long, are tired of going through the long night
of captivity. And now we are reaching out for the daybreak of freedom and
justice and equality"

That statement applies to all of us who feel we are the disinherited of this
land and to those who believe that fighting for our cause is for the
betterment of all.

Another site to check out for King's speeches, including the one referenced
here, is _http://www.mlkonline.net_ (http://www.mlkonline.net)
It is not necessarily the ideal site, but it does have many of his speeches
& quotes.
There is also a site specific to

Thanks again for all of the quotes & thoughts about King, shared throughout
this week, please keep them coming.
