multicultural/global awareness through a combination of hands-on
activities and lectures. Receive nationally validated REACH program
materials, including classroom-tested curriculum, for your particular

strategies for valuing diversity.

2. REACH Training of Trainers:
This training session is designed for those educators and diversity
practitioners who want to disseminate REACH programs or deepen their
understanding of REACH concepts. Learn techniques for presenting REACH
strategies and materials to others. Participants must have already
attended a REACH 2-day Institute for Building Cultural Competency. The
Training of Trainers is the first step toward certification as a REACH
trainer. Other steps include curriculum implementation, co-training,
and lead training. Educators from throughout the nation are attracted
to this lively session. The training format encourages team building
and informal networking, and provides opportunities to practice in
groups.
Dates: June 23-26, 2008
(Same schedule and location as Institute above)
The REACH Center encourages organizations to send a team that
represents a balance of diversity to the Institute and/or Training of
Trainers session. The development of a local team can save money and
provide on-going support to the organizations adopting REACH.
Per person registration fee includes training materials, continental
breakfast and lunch each day.
