University of Phoenix gets high marks in diversity
A report issued by Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine has rated the  
_University of Phoenix_ (http://www.bizjournals.com/pacific/gen
/University_of_Phoenix_DD48AB96614646CCBCA5E5F1B3936E8A.html)  as the top-ranked  
institution in granting master's degrees to minority students in the subject  areas of 
business, health care and education.  
In addition, the magazine said the nation's largest private university system 
 grants the biggest number of master's degrees in all academic disciplines to 
 black and American Indian students.  
It also said that more than 40 percent of the nationwide university's 325,000 
 students are from racial groups other than non-Hispanic whites.  
The Phoenix-based university, which operates 195 campuses throughout the  
United States, has a campus in Honolulu and learning centers in Kapolei and  
Mililani.
