Please accept this invitation to the 2008 Oregon Student of Color
Coalition Conference, Feb. 1-3 at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon.
Join more than 300 students from across the Pacific Northwest for a
weekend of more than 70 workshops on issues impacting students of
color and how to organize around them. It's your chance to attend
skill- and issue-based workshops and network with student leaders who
care about the same things you do.
The cost for registration is $40 and includes the following:
• Over 70 issue and skill-based workshops
• 3 keynote speakers
• 5 meals starting with dinner on Friday and ending with breakfast on Sunday
• And a weekend of networking and problem solving with students of
color and allied students!
Workshops in the past have included:
-Deconstruction of racism in higher education
-Language and labels
-Urban environmental racism
-Disenfranchisement of communities of color
-Social construction of race
