Springfield School District is seeking outstanding candidates for the
position of Middle School Principal. Springfield School District has
five middle schools serving grades 6 through 8.

Qualifications Required:

• Oregon Administrative License
• Skilled in supervision of staff
• Experience planning K-12 instructional programs. Understands the
cycle of curriculum development, instructional practices and effective
assessment
• Demonstrated understanding of learning theory and successful
instructional strategies
• Understands a continuous improvement model using data effectively to
inform instruction
• Experience working with diverse populations--i.e. special education, ELL
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A champion of staff development
• Fiscal knowledge and responsibility
• Effective decision making skills
• Expertise in creating a safe environment where all feel respected. A
culturally competent educator

Other Desirable Qualifications:

• Successful experience as an administrator in a comprehensive
secondary school program
• Master scheduling experience
• Knowledge of school reform issues
• Uses technology effectively

Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $79,985 - $99,107 (based on
the 2007-2008 salary schedule) plus an excellent benefit package.
