(NAME-MCE) Call For Manuscripts: Urban Educators

Dear colleagues,
 
We are currently composing an edited volume of essays related to urban educators.  
 
The volume will contain three units: Cultivation, Motivation, and Transformation. Meaning how do we encourage, prepare, or cultivate future educators; What/how do we motivate individuals to remain urban educators, what challenges do they face; and how do urban educators transform their own practice, school culture, etc.
 
If you are interested in submitting an essay for review please submit a one page prospectus that includes the following information: the unit you are submitting it under, approximate page length, a concise description of the topic and methodology, and your contact information.  Please be advised of the following deadlines:
 
March 3rd: Prospectus Due via e-mail (Units 1 & 2 to Professor Ericka Fisher efisher at holycross.edu) (Unit 3 to Professor Ricardo Dobles rdobles at holycross.edu) 
 
March 17th: Notification of Tentative Acceptance
 
May 16th: Manuscript Submission Due
 
June 2nd: Notification of Acceptance
 
July 7th: Final Edits Due
 
We encourage you to submit an essay for review and to share this request with colleagues who may also be interested in this topic.
