and continue until the position is filled.

The Teacher Education Division seeks qualified applicants for a full-time,
limited duration position. This position will work a flexible schedule
around recruitment presentations and events that will include evening and
weekend commitments as well as work hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday, totaling a 40 hour work week. This position will be
contracted through June 30, 2008. The possibility for employment beyond June
30, 2008 is dependent upon funding and evaluation of performance.

-- The individual hired for this position will visit and create partnerships
with identified high schools and community colleges with linguistically
diverse populations, linking with career advisors and Teacher Cadet programs
to support interest in the teaching profession.
-- The individual will provide presentations on and off campus at
recruitment events, in both English and Spanish, and link interested
students to admissions as well as cultural and academic support services on
campus.
-- The individual will create promotional materials, maintain databases and
list-serves and advertise test preparation, career development, and
community opportunities.
-- The individual will provide mentoring, advising, and support for
bilingual students interested in a career in teaching.

Qualifications:

Required:
● Bachelor's degree
● Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Spanish
● Dynamic presentation skills
● Independent means of transportation, and driver's license required
● Ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
● Familiarity with Latino cultures
● Strong level of initiative and ability to work independently and
collaboratively

Preferred:
● Strong organizational skills
● Ability to multi-task
● Experience working in PK-12 schools, community college, or higher
education
● Familiarity with teacher preparation

Salary is commensurate with experience. Health benefits are included.
