Good morning,

Oyate is giving away copies of a DVD called
When Your Hands Are Tied. If you work with
Native youth, or if you parent a Native teen, call
Oyate and place your order. While the DVD
should be seen by everyone, I think it is
especially important that Native youth in
reservation or urban communities view it.
Oyate's number is (510) 848-6700.

Beverly Slapin's review of the DVD is at my site ( http://americanindiansinchildrensliterature.info)
along with a link to the DVD's companion website
http://www.whenyourhandsaretied.org.

If you want to go right to Oyate to order the DVD,
the link is http://www.oyate.org .

Oyate is not charging for the DVD or for postage/handling,
but it'd be good for them and all the Native peoples that
benefit from their work (Oyate is a non profit org) if you
either order another DVD (they've also got HAROLD
OF ORANGE), or, send a donation their way.

Debbie
