This Friday is the deadline --- to submit a proposal at www.necme.org

We are getting in some fabulous workshop proposals that should have
something for everyone.

   - There will be a great strand on school climate issues (bullying and
   harassment)
   - We are working with the US Dept of Education to have several
presentations on Title IX and athletics and single sex schools
   - Teacher educators should find some terrific sessions on teaching new
   students

These are just some examples. For 13 years now those of us in New England
have been determined to maintain a high quality conference on
multiculticulural education for those Pk-12 teachers who are unable to
attend the large, multi-day conferences throughout the country.
Unfortunately, in the era of NCLB, professional development for teachers is
often undervalued. The NECME conference brings the top scholars, educators
and researchers to New England. We are expecting 800 attendees this year.
