Hi Carol,

Richard Skiba at Indiana Univ. has done a lot of this
type of work. Also check the Applied Research Center
website. School systems with research & evaluation
depts. also keep stats. on this type of info. 

I'm also interested in the race/gender breakdown in
discipline & am doing a study on this now. Maybe we
can talk to some point since we have similar
interests.
