*Teacher Education*
The Department of Teacher Education seeks to fill four full-time,
tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin Fall 2008.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses,
participation in department-based student learning outcomes assessment,
student academic advisement, and, as appropriate, supervision of student
teachers, program development, student recruitment, and participation in
College activities.
Four positions in Elementary Education. Required qualifications include:
earned doctorate; evidence of active scholarship; significant experience at
the elementary school level; ability to work collaboratively with local
districts. Desired areas of expertise: curriculum, instruction and
assessment; foundations of education; research methods.

*Ethics*
COLLEGE OF SAINT ROSE. Ethics. Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning
in Fall 2008. Four undergraduate classes per semester (two or three
preparations; opportunity for reassigned time). Area of specialization:
Ethics; AOC: open. As a combined Religious Studies and Philosophy
department, we value and respect a broad range of intellectually diverse
perspectives and scholarship, especially those appreciative of the College's
U.S. and global diversity and its engaged urban campus initiatives. We seek
applicants who have demonstrated diverse proficiency and interest in
teaching ethics at the introductory level, as well as upper-level
theoretical and applied ethics (e.g., business or environmental ethics). We
also seek applicants who are interested in teaching a wide range of
undergraduate courses and will contribute to the promotion and development
of our programs. A PhD, preferably in Religious Studies, prior to

*English/Fiction Writer*
The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, seeks a qualified candidate for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the English Department,
starting in August 2008. Candidate must have an earned doctorate or MFA
with a primary specialization in fiction writing and secondary expertise in
another genre or composition studies. Candidate must have a strong record
of publications in fiction. Candidate should also have a demonstrated
ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse group of people.
This line will involve courses in fiction writing on both the graduate and
undergraduate levels and a range of courses in creative and expository
writing, including first-year composition. Send letter of application and
dossier, including c.v., copy of transcript(s), writing sample of no more
than twenty pages of fiction, and three letters of recommendation to

The College of Saint Rose seeks a Dean of The School of Arts and Humanities,
a position appointed for the 2008/2009 academic year. Through a strong
liberal education curriculum and progressive academic programs, the College
serves students and working professionals in 59 undergraduate programs, 33

Knowledge of the role of emerging technologies in instruction
and the delivery of academic programs
Oversight of accreditation reports
Securing funds for faculty development
Strategic planning, program development, and enrollment management
