Dear Gina and others,
I am sorry for whoever convinced you that Al-Jazeera doesn't share
women's views or a diversity of opinions. In fact, the program this lady
showed up on is called "The Other Direction' which takes two
contradicting views on current issues including ones that are very
controversial in the Arab world (an example was a heated discussion on
wearing the Hijab). I echo my colleagues concerns about posting this
interview as a courageous one. I was distressed by hearing her views
that lack any accuracy and straight forward provides generalization
about a billion people on this earth (not that different from the
religious right in this country).
