Excelencia in Education aims to accelerate higher education success
for Latino students. Launched in 2004, Excelencia links research,
policy, and practice to serve Latino students and the institutions and
programs where they participate. Latinos are the largest and
fastest-growing minority group in the U.S., yet lag behind other major
racial and ethnic groups in higher education attainment. Improving
Latino student success in higher education is in the national
interest.
