Title: Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs at Lincoln Center
Position Description:
The position of Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs at Lincoln
Center provides the opportunity for a Student Affairs professional to
work in a variety of areas within student affairs at an independent,
Catholic, urban, private university in the Jesuit tradition. The
Lincoln Center campus of Fordham University has a traditional
undergraduate population of approximately 1,600 resident and commuter
students.
The position's work directly supports the mission of the University and
the Division of Student Affairs and Athletics. The goals of training men
and women of authentic character in service to others and the ongoing
effort to build a seamless living-learning environment in partnership
with students and faculty are essential components of the Assistant
Director for Multicultural Affairs position. Specifically, The Office
of Multicultural Affairs supports the University's mission by
encouraging the formation of an inclusive intellectual environment that
reflects the University's commitment to intentionally engaging diversity
to provide educational benefits for the student population and the
entire university community.
The Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs will support the
Division of Student Affairs in university-wide initiatives by serving
on/chairing various Divisional committees. The Assistant Director
reports directly to the Assistant Dean/Director for Multicultural
Affairs. As the office liaison to the Lincoln Center Campus, the
Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs will meet regularly with
the Student Life team at the Lincoln Center campus.
