Attached (as a word document) please find the nomination form for the 2007 NAME elections.  The two offices open this year are President -elect and At- Large member of the Board.  Please also find nomination instructions in the attachment which ask you to nominate before April 15.

EDUCATION (NAME)

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR 2007

 

Under the By-Laws of the Association, it is time to request nominations from the membership. If you know someone who (or if you) would like to serve NAME in an office listed below, please forward the completed nomination form along with a biographical resume and a description of his/her qualifications for the office sought, involvement in multicultural education, and involvement in NAME. The description may be prepared by the nominator or nominee and should not exceed 50 words. To be considered, all nominations MUST be postmarked no later than Sunday, April 15, 2007.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Each officer must be a regular member in good standing of NAME for at least two years, must be willing to serve in this capacity for NAME, and must be registered at the annual meeting at which he or she is elected.  

 

 

OFFICES OPEN FOR NOMINATIONS:

 




 

 

 

 

 

President-Elect: Holds the office for two years before serving a two-year term as President and an additional two-year term as Immediate Past President (for a total of a 6-year commitment).  The President-Elect coordinates the Annual Conference with the Conference Committee Chair and Executive Director; coordinates and supervises special projects; performs other duties the President and the Board of Directors may assign; and takes over the duties of the President when the President is unable to perform her or his duties.

 

 

 

 

At-large Member of the Board of Directors: Serve a term of three years and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.  An At-large Member may reside in any location within the United States or Internationally.  An At-large Member must attend the two national board meetings, summer and winter, as well as attend the fall international conference. At-large Members will have an active role on at least one of the working committees of the association.  ONE (non-student) At-large member is to be elected in 2007.
