No Child Left Behind has increased the accountability of teachers,
principals, and schools in regard to a students academic progress or lack there of.
Learning, first of all, begins in the home. Parents and guardians are a child's
first teacher. But with all this accountability, the word parent is left out
of the formula. Without consistency and a strong relationship between the
home and school little progress can be made or stay permanent.

Should schools now be responsible in perserving a student's culture? (ie.
their native language)
