Stephanie and all,

If this Qatar consultancy is with/through/for the same group of folks
that approached us at the University of Maryland (a sort of "troops
to teachers" program but with former military personnel being
transitioned into pseudo charter school administrators), it was our
impression that they are looking for a program that will not actually
require very much in the way of actual coursework/field experiences,
etc.--it is also connected to Raytheon--a MAJOR "Homeland Security"
contractor--I can't say for sure, but I believe that this is an
opportunity that might fly in the face of the ethics of multicultural
educators, especially when you consider the gender and sexual
orientation politics in Qatar (both of which could violate public
education equity policies).

All the best,

Chris
