Hi Carlie,
I'm excited about your opportunity to teach "Introduction to
Multicultural Education", let me know how it goes. I wish it was
mandatory that all Teacher Training Programs Across the Nation have a
course required on the Introducton to Multicultural Education.
I have a new book coming out in January 2007 that would be a good
resource also.
Would you like to use or review my new book for your course on noted
Grandfather of Multicultural Education author "Dr. James A. Banks
Contributions to the Evolution of Multicultural
Education:Implications for Teacher Educators and Curriculum
Development" with a Foreword by the esteemed Dr. Christine
Sleeter? If you need more info let me know.
I enjoyed hearing your thoughts and your remarks on the New Young
Scholars Panel discussion at the Conference in Arizona November 8
thru 12, 2006. Look forward to seeing you in Baltimore, MD October
31 thru November 4, 2007 or on the NAME Board to continue making a
difference. I served two terms (1999-2006) as NAME Region #3
Director for Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia,
Delaware, and Washington, D.C. which inspired me to write my new
book. Enjoy your teaching experience!
Peace and Love!
