Assistant Professor of Diversity and Foundations (Tenure Track) 
St. Joseph College
Education Department

Qualifications:
· Earned doctorate or ABD in Foundations of Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Intercultural Studies, Urban Education or Related Field
· At least 3 years teaching experience at the K-12 Level
· Ability to teach courses in foundations of education and multicultural/diversity education teaching in diverse K-12classrooms, plus knowledge in English language acquisition
· Ability to integrate technology into instruction including web-assisted and other alternative delivery models
· Ability to teach with a multicultural perspective

Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to model various instructional strategies
· Experience with diverse learners

Responsibilities:
· Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Foundations of Education and Multicultural/Diversity Education Teaching in Diverse Classrooms
· Advise students
· Supervise practicum and internship experiences
· Collaborate in further development of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs
· Collaborate with Professional Development Schools
· Provide service within the College, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations
