You might consider "The Way Home" by Dr. Shakti Butler/Worldtrust
(www.worldtrust.org ) It's a film about 64 women meeting in their own ethnic
groups and doing heart-to-heart processing of their experiences vis-a-vis
identity, oppression, resilience, etc. over a period of months...these are
real-life stories-Jacki Leak

Aside from my academic role, I'm also a parent at an elementary school. We
want to show a film for parents that would address issues of race/racism or
other isms that would be engaging but also stimulate discussion after the
film. Last year we showed "Crash". It needs to be something that would
attract parents to come but also have the potential to be consciousness
raising.
Any suggestions?
