The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the Neag School of Education
at the University of Connecticut invites applications and nominations for a
full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin
August 2007.  The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate
courses with an emphasis on multicultural education, curriculum and
development and urban education.  Responsibilities include teaching,
advising through the doctoral level, research, and service.



Qualifications include earned doctorate with emphasis in multicultural
education, public school teaching experience working with diverse
populations of students and evidence of scholarly productivity.  Also
desired is demonstrated competence in promoting diversity in teacher
education programs by recruiting and supporting candidates from diverse
backgrounds, university teaching, grant writing and outreach activities.



Salary is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
