CALLING STUDENT FILM MAKERS!! Calling all theater, drama, 
communications and video production teachers: Please share this 
information with your students ASAP!!

Participate in our exciting new multicultural video Festival--giving 
voice to young people on issues of race,culture, and identity through 
video storytelling!

We are very pleased to announce a new collaboration for NAME with 
Entertaining Diversity, Inc.: The La Mura Video Festival.

With categories for middle school, high school, and college level 
student filmmaking teams, the call is now out for student entries.

Student teams are invited to submit their short film works (4-6 minutes 
in length) that present stories and perspectives relative to race, 
culture, gender, ethnicity, poverty, religion, and immigration.

The 6 winners and one overall winner of the competition will be 
screened at the annual international conference of NAME in November. 
Winning videos will also be disseminated for educational and 
promotional purposes through Entertaining Diversity, Inc.

Deadlines for submission are: June 1 and August 15, 2007.

Created by producer, director, and actor Teja Arboleda, this 
competition and festival is intended to provide a venue for sharing the 
voices and stories of young people in culturally diverse communities 
through video storytelling.
