Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is pleased to
announce that proposals and program ideas are now being accepted for
workshop sessions for our 2007 National Convention, presented by IBM.
The title and theme of PFLAG's 20th National convention is "Family
Voices: Moving Equality Forward." It will be held from October 11-14 at
the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Virginia, just outside of Washington,
D.C. We anticipate approximately 1,000 members and supporters from
across the United States in attendance for the event.
The schedule will allow for a robust offering of 50 workshops. The
PFLAG National Office is committed to providing a wide range of workshop
opportunities for our members and allies that address the interests and
needs of first-time attendees as well as those who are ready for more
advanced sessions.
For details about the application process, submission review criteria,
timelines and registration, please visit our online instructions and
submission at https://www.letsmeet.net/forms/pflag_session/
<https://www.letsmeet.net/forms/pflag_session/> . The deadline for
submissions is March 30, 2007.
PFLAG's National Conventions are always a tremendous opportunity for
teaching, learning, networking and revitalizing. Whether you are a
PFLAG chapter member who wants to conduct a session on a project your
chapter has undertaken, an allied organization that wants to draw
attention to your mission, work and partnering opportunities, or someone
who believes you have something important to share with PFLAG members in
terms of support, education or advocacy, we welcome your proposal!
