Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies

Submission deadline: March 15, 2007

The Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies at the University of
South Carolina (USC) seeks papers and/or panel proposals for its
Latino Immigration to New Settlement Areas conference. Researchers in
all disciplines are invited to submit proposals related to the
phenomenon of Latino migration and settlement, specifically in
relation to five core themes: health, education, immigration
legislation/policy issues, economic issues, and settlement and
incorporation. The conference, with the theme, "Latino Immigration to
New Settlement Areas: Trends and Implications," will be held at the
University of South Carolina from October 11-13, 2007. Co-sponsors and
collaborators for the conference include the University of Georgia,
Kennesaw State University, and The Center for Global Initiatives at
the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
