 Hello:
 
We're looking to have someone do an evening workshop sometime this spring for elementary school parents on anti-bias parenting.  The school is in Nyack, NY which is about 20 miles northwest of New York City.  We do have a little money, but since it's only an evening, it doesn't make sense to bring someone in from far away.
We'd like someone who can talk about how chidren develop a sense of their own identities and understand others', discuss concrete ways parents can talk to their children about differences, inequities and answer questions that arise; and help their children deal with situations whether they are the target or not.  The school is diverse in numerous ways and we'd like someone who can address the various differences/isms.
